Ahul Bayt Foundation of South Africa condemns terrorist attack at Imam Hussain Mosque in Durban

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Ahul Bayt Foundation of South Africa issued an statement in condemnation of terrorist attack on Shia Mosque in Durban. It is as follows:

It's a very dark day in the history of the Muslim community today as the Imam Husayn (a.s) Masjid in Verulem, Durban was a victim of a vicious TERRORIST attack this afternoon that claimed the life of one Muslim brother and has left two others (including the Resident Imam) in a serious condition in hospital.

AFOSA unreservedly CONDEMNS this first ever TERRORIST attack of this nature in South Africa.

The matter remains under investigation and thus no further comment is possible at this stage.

While we feel deep sorrow and express our sincere condolences to the family, we simultaneously call upon our entire community to exercise restraint.
