(AhlulBayt News Agency) - One of Bahrain’s most well-known anti-regime protester was welcomed home on Sunday after spending several months in detention for taking part in an unsanctioned gathering.
Haji Majeed Abdulla Hasan was arrested in the early morning hours of November 21, 2017, during police raids in his hometown of Dumistan.
Honored with the nickname Haji Somoud, which loosely translated means to resist, the 68-year-old has been targeted by Manama’s security agencies on numerous occasions.
He has been detained five times since the start of Bahrain’s popular uprising in 2011.
