(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The family of Bahraini detainee Younes Ali Hadher is concerned for his well-being following a further deterioration in his health condition.
Hadher, who suffers from epilepsy, was arrested in December 2012 and accused of attempted murder, arson as well as taking part in an ‘illegal gathering’.
The former football player was later sentenced to 10 years in prison. Attempts to have Hadher released on humanitarian grounds due to his medical condition have failed to produce results.
His family has repeatedly accused prison authorities of negligence, which led to a considerable deterioration in Hadher’s health.
On Thursday, the family told Bahraini activists that Hadher suffered a severe seizure earlier this week. However, the prison administration has failed to provide him with proper treatment and has even altered with his mediation without consulting his doctors.
