(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Bahraini prisoner of conscience Medina Ali was rushed to hospital on Sunday after reportedly experiencing heart complications.
According to prominent rights campaigner Ebtisam Al-Saegh, Ali was briefly treated by a medical professional and given medication to prevent a further deterioration of her health.
However, Al-Saegh reported that the detainee is gravely concerned given that this is the first time that she experienced such symptoms.
Ali was sentenced to three years in prison following trials marred by reports of torture and forced confessions.
Last month, she observed a hunger strike for several days over her ill-treatment in detention.
