Pres. Rouhani: Constructive interaction with neighbours, world Iran’s key policy

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - President Rouhani described boosting hope, vitality and creating better conditions for work and production as key responsibilities of the authorities in the year of “supporting Iranian products” and said: “The government has taken valuable steps in the field of employment and fighting poverty until it is rooted out”.

Speaking in a Nowruz meeting with ministers, governor generals and managers of executive organs on Tuesday, Dr Hassan Rouhani said: “People are the source of blessing for the authorities and the main factor of security and unity in the society and all efforts must be directed towards providing more and better service to the people”.

Better access to communications and information and power of choice are essential for the people, said the President adding: “Having powerful, safe and inexpensive messengers that can meet people’s daily needs will be an honour for everybody”.

He also stressed that people must be educated to take the best advantage of the cyberspace, adding: “A good cyberspace will be provided by good, appealing and fruitful content, not merely through monopoly and limiting it”.

Dr Rouhani also described constructive interaction with neighbours and the world as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s key policy, saying: “Without a doubt, interaction with neighbours and the world will be to our interest and this policy, especially in the year of supporting Iranian products, will be followed more”.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President also describe the Prophet of Islam’s (PBUH) first revelation as the biggest incident in the history of the mankind and expressed hope that year 1397 will be year of more security, development, brotherhood and unity for the people.
