According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – Iran’s Cultural Advisor in Lebanon has stated, “Qom and the Holy Shrine of Lady Msasoumeh (S) and the Seminary School of Qom have a prominent statuts in the world. Qom also played a significant role in the succession of Islamic Revolution and plays an important one in production of Islamic Sciences and Education.
Mohammad Mahdi Shariatmadar, who spoke with ABNA’s reporter, said, “Cultural and historical relations of the two countries is rooted in history and cultural exchange between the two countries is among the necessities”.
Speaking on the city of Nabtieh, which hosts the ‘Qom’s Cultural Week in Lebanon’, he said, “Nabtieh, which is among Lebanon’s scientific and religious cities, is also known as the city of Imam Hussain and has a square named after him on which Muharram mournings take palce. It is the city where Martyr Shateri established the Hazrat Masoumeh (S) park there”.
“There has to be cooperations between the Resistance Community of Lebanon and Revolutionary Community of Qom. By the aid of many authorities and institutions the ‘Qom’s Cultural Week in Lebanon’ is going to take place and the facilities andcapabilities of different organization, Seminary Schools, universities, Holy Shrine etc. be showcased”, he added.
Speaking on other programs on the Week he said, “we will have an exhibition in Nabtieh. Also a series of meetings, conferences, poetry nights and other cultural activities wil be other parts of the week. The programs will be held in presence of city authorities and Lebanese figures. Two teams have been sent to Lebanon so far in order to facilitate the holding of the Week”.
Iran’s Cultural Advisor in Lebanon the said,” The week is held on the occasion of Holy Prophet Muhammad's first revelation in Nabtieh. We hope that this Week is the key to more cooperations between the two countries and specially the cities of Qom and Nabtieh. This is Qom’s first international cultural program and we hope this event will be marked as an honor in Qom’s history”.
Speaking on another topic he said, “last year, we held the 10-day Keramat (Dignity) event in Nabtieh. The Lebanese brothers decided to make it an annual event. By the blessing of Imam Reza and Lady Masoumeh, we hope to hold the 10-day Keramat event this year, after ‘Qom’s Cultural Week in Lebanon’.
In the end, he stated, “we are grateful to Sayyed Mahdi Sadeghi, Qom’s Governor, Mr. Alipour and his fellow colleagues in the governerate which without whose help, guidance, support, effort, and actions this event would not have been possible.
