(AhlulBayt News Agency) - President had separate phone calls with grand maraji to extend congratulations over the start of new year and Nowruz 1397 in Solar Hijri calendar.
President Dr Hassan Rouhani had phone calls with Grand Ayatollahs Safi Golpayegani, Vahid Khorasani, Makarem Shirazi, Javadi Amoli, Sobhani, Shobeiri Zanjani, Alavi Gorgani and Mazaheri and thanked them for supporting the government’s plans.
He expressed hope that with regard to the guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, empathy among the powers, institutions and public support, as well as implementation of the economic policies of the government to generate employment and support domestic production; year 1397 would be the year of more progress for the great Iranian nation.
The grand maraji, in return, congratulated new year to the President and appreciated the services and attempts of the government, and wished it success in serving people, especially the deprived, more.
