"Cultural Week of Qom" in Lebanon - 6

Director General of Tourism in Qom: We will be present in Lebanon regarding tourism, handicrafts

The director general of tourism in Qom spoke about Health Tourism and added, “in terms of health and treatment, Iran’s is among the inexpensive countries. One of the goals for holding this event is to introduce the potential of Health Tourism in Qom and Iran so that Lebanese people can use it”.

According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – the director general of tourism in qom, in the light of the “Qom’s cultural Week in Lebanon” event said, “we will be present in Lebanon regarding tourism and handicrafts.

Isa Rezaie, who spoke to ABNA reporter, said,” many tourists and pilgrims from Lebanon visit Qom and there’s a tourism interaction between the countries. There are also many hotels in Qom which accommodate the visitors. In order to cooperate better, we have sent a group of 30-40 people including hotel and travel agency owners to Lebanon so that they can get familiar with the private sector there, and consequently write a contract or an agreement”.

The director general of tourism in Qom spoke about Health Tourism and added, “in terms of health and treatment, Iran’s is among the inexpensive countries. One of the goals for holding this event is to introduce the potential of Health Tourism in Qom and Iran so that Lebanese people can use it”.

“In terms of Ophthalmology, Dentistry and Infertility Treatment Qom is among the prominent cities and many patients from Arab countries visit the city for that matter”, he continued.

“Another part of the cooperation could be handicrafts. Iranian art is ancient and there are about 300 types of professions regarding handicrafts in Iran. Iran also stands among the top 5 countries in terms of handicrafts. Qom has got over 70 types of professions related to handicrafts. Some of the participants in this event are active in these professions and are aiming at introducing their art and products”, he also added.

Rezaie said, “we seek to hold workshops in Lebanon during this event so that the visitors can practically learn the art of handicrafts. There are 10 groups in handicrafts and 30-40 people regarding tourism who will be present in the event. We will also have booths to ntroduce the capacities of tourism in Qom. Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization will have a booth of its own in Nabtieh.

It is noteworthy that “Qom’s cultural Week in Lebanon” will be held in Nabtieh, Lebanon from April 14th to 21th by the aid of Qom Governerate and other institutions, including Ahlul Bayt World Assembly and Iran’s Advisor in Lebanon.
