(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah urged the Lebanese people to approach the coming elections with high responsibility on both the national and local level because this will determine the fate of the Lebanese.
In a televised speech on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Imam Mahdi religious school in Baalbeck, His Eminence urged people to approach the coming elections from both local and national level.
"People should approach the coming elections with high responsibility," he said, noting that "the Lebanese have entered the election stage, which has become their main concern. Two and a half months remain to approach the elections. For the coming period, Lebanon can debate, speak... [express] different opinions and criticism, positive or negative."
Sayyed Nasrallah further highlighted that "through elections in the districts, the elected deputies will decide on behalf of all Lebanon and not only their regions. When we present a list, we need to explain why. It's not enough just to say we are Hezbollah, these are the people and we'll see you on May 6. We need to explain, and people need to debate."
"When the Lebanese elect MPs, [they must think about] why I elect this person? Is it because of his family, religion, because I know him, his political party? This is not enough, I am not diminishing belonging to something," he confirmed.
In this context, Sayyed Nasrallah warned that the MPs are responsible for electing the Lebanese President, legislation, agreements and maintaining borders.
"Who will we elect? Will we elect a deputy who wants to give up our borders and our oil to "Israel"?" His Eminence wondered.
As he stressed that the relative law allows people to take their natural size in contrast to the law of majority, Sayyed Nasrallah urged Hezbollah supporters to spare no effort to get the largest electoral outcome so that our candidates reach Parliament.
"Baalbek-Hermel district is important because of its clear position in supporting the Resistance," he added, noting that "the great harvest that we have reached at the level of Lebanon has costed us dear blood and it is our responsibility to keep our country strong."
To the People, he said: "Your voice for the Resistance in the elections preserves the blood of the martyrs who fell on the Resistance's path especially amid the current direct US intervention in the region."
On the same level, His Eminence called for a full review to what Hezbollah has provided to Baalbek-Hermel region since 1982 until today on the moral, security, national, regional, cultural, social and service levels.
"When we entered the 1992 parliamentary elections, we implemented Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi's will by which he sought to defend the Resistance by preventing conspiracy against it," he mentioned.
Meanwhile, the Resistance Leader unveiled that "when they meet at the Saudi embassy and talk about setting up regulations and paying money, it means that the work on our regions has begun."
"When [US Secretary of Stated] Rex Tillerson came to Beirut, he did not come for oil only. He came to say that there is a problem in Lebanon represented by Hezbollah and that the issue of the Resistance's weapons must be resolved," he elaborated.
In addition, Sayyed Nasrallah asserted that "If "Israel" today has nothing to fear, it would have taken our oil pipelines, Block 9 and the entire Lebanese oil rights."
"There is today a conspiracy against the Resistance after the failure of the American scheme and its tools in the region and the defeat of Daesh," His Eminence warned.
On the occasion, Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that Al-Montazar school was a religious one founded by martyr Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi alone.
"The personality of Sayyed Abbas was based on creativity and the search for something new," he recalled, stating that "in 1982, Leader martyr Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi participated in the establishment of Hezbollah and was strongly active and present on this level."
In parallel, His Eminence went on to clarify that "late Sayyed Abbas was interested in going to the Bekaa to establish a religious school because he viewed that the transformation begins through religious schools [Hawza]."
"Sayyed Abbas could have established a religious school in #Beirut but he insisted on establishing one in Bekaa region," he explained.
Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the fact that "Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi was never the son of his family, his village and region. He was the son of Islam and humanity."
"The essential characteristics that must not be absent from the religious school is the spiritual father-child relationship between the teacher and students," he added.
