(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Ahlulbayt World Assembly has issued a message of condolences on demise of Grand Shia Cleric in Kashmir and prominent member of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly in India.

Message of Condolences by the Ahlulbayt World Assembly on the Demise of Grand Shiah Cleric in Kashmir and Prominent Member of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly in India
In the Name of Allah
When a knowledgeable believers dies, it will leave an enormous gap in Islam, which shall never be filled with anything else. (Imam Sadiq, peace be upon him)
We were deeply saddened to learn that Hon. Hujjat-ul-Islam Syed Mohammad Fazlullah Mousavi Safavi, a member of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly in India, passed away after years of promoting the teachings of Islam, Quran, and the holy Ahlulbayt.
This prominent Shia cleric had spent years of his life in holy Najaf to study at the Islamic Seminary. He was a source of numerous cultural, social, academic and religious services in India in general and in the Kashmir region in particular.
He, like his father Ayatollah Syed Yusuf Mousavi Safavi, enjoyed a good reputation in Kashmir and rendered valuable services to the community including the chairmanship of Shiite Islamic Law (Sharia) Association in Shariatabad Srinagar, conducting religious and missionary activities, social services, and establishment or management of 50 elementary schools in the region of Kashmir.
He was also director of Ayatollah Yusuf Memorial Trust and the Sharia Society in Budgam.
During recent years he was busy constructing a Hosseiniyah in Kashmir to spread the name and teachings of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The late Syed Fazlullah Mousavi was a herald of unity among Muslims in India and used to participate and deliver speeches in almost every General Assembly which was held by the Ahlulbayt World Assembly.
Undoubtedly, his good deeds shall be a source of blessings for him in the hereafter, as we read in the Holy Quran: “And those, who are careful of (their duty to) their Lord, shall be conveyed to the paradise in companies; until when they come to it, and its doors shall be opened, the keepers of the paradise shall say to them: Peace be on you! You’re welcome; therefore, enter it to abide!”
The Ahlulbayt World Assembly extends its condolences on this irreparable damage to the Holy Imam of Age, peace be upon him, then to the Supreme Leader, Grand Ayatollahs, Shia eminent clerics, Islamic seminaries, and Muslim Shiites in India as well as his family members, friends and pupils.
We further pray to Almighty Allah to bestow patience upon his close relatives, especially his noble son Hujjat-ul-Islam Syed Hadi Mousavi, and grace them with His abundant rewards.
May his soul rest in peace; we belong to Allah ... and to Him we shall surely return.
