Nabeel Rajab spends most of his time confined to narrow cell, forbidden from reading book, buying winter cloths

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Jailed Bahraini human rights defender, Nabeel Rajab, spends most of his time confined to a narrow cell and is prevented from communicating with other detainees.

His son, Adam Nabeel Rajab, Tweeted on Sunday that the prominent activist is forbidden from reading books, buying winter clothes and is prevented from contact with other political detainees.

The news comes just days after Rajab’s latest court hearing was postponed for the 20th time.

Rajab who was jailed last summer, is currently standing trial for criticizing the Saudi-led military campaign in Yemen and Manama’s use of torture.

He is already serving a 2-year sentence over a separate set of charges and faces an additional 15-year prison term if convicted.
