In the message that was sent on Tuesday, Dr Hassan Rouhani expressed "hope that by following the high path of the Prophet of Islam and taking advantage of the high teachings of the Holy Quran, we witness deepening of the bonds of unity and fraternity among Muslim nations".
He also wrote: "Without a doubt, one of the most important duties of Islamic countries is to identify and confront extremist and takfiri ideas and increasing collaboration in the fight against violence and extremism".
"Therefore, the Islamic community can promote justice, peace, and stability in Islamic countries throughout the world through unity and harmony," he added.
Dr Rouhani also wished pride for all Muslims around the world.
