More than 200 people were killed and dozens injured in an attack on a mosque in Egypt's North Sinai region on Friday.
Condoling with the families of the victims and the Egyptian nation, Qasemi referred to the attack as a 'callous attempt' of terrorists to show their existence after severe defeats were inflicted on them in the region.
Such incidents double the responsibility of the regional governments to gain a real and accurate understanding of terrorism and require their collective efforts to combat it.
He urged all the governments and nations to be more vigilant against new plots of the defeated terrorists.
