According to the news center of the Assembly of Lovers of Ahl Al-Bayt (AS) and the Takfiri Issue, at the beginning ceremony of this assembly, Dr. Sibghatullah Mojaddedi thanked the Supreme Leader of Iran for holding this assembly and stated that : "The love for the great prophet Mohammd (PBUH) and his Ahl Al-Bayt (AS) and bonding with them and paying heed to their saying is a blessing for all Muslims."
"Love for Ali (AS) is part of being a Sunni and those who do not have that are not Sunni" he said.
The former president of Afghanistan also added that while this love is indeed part of being Sunni, it also leads to love for all. He stated that: "The love for Ahl Al-Bayt (AS) is cherished by Sunnis and the Sunni consider the enemies of Ahl Al-Bayt (AS) as their own enemies."
He added that enemies of Islam are trying to divide the Muslim community, said that "unity and friendship is a must for all Muslims".
Mojaddedi emphasized that extremist groups such as ISIS have never been a symbol of Sunnis, and also noted that it should be clear to everyone that extremism leads to conflict which is exactly what the enemy wants.
First Assembly of Lovers of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and the Issue of Takfiris will be held during two days with the support of the World Islamic Awakening Assembly and, in cooperation with various institutions, including the Ahlulbaytat World Assembly.
