In the statement issued on Thursday, the participates in the international conference of resistance scholars underlined that the Resistance Front, by itself, can guarantee the end of Tel Aviv regime’s occupation of Palestine.
Recognizing the Zionist regime is a betrayal that all Muslim nations condemn, the resistance scholars said in the statement.
The conference also condemned any attempt by some Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, to normalize relations with Israel.
According to the head of the Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hamoud, more than 200 scholars from more than 80 countries took part in the two-day event in Beirut that ended on Thursday.
“True Promise: Palestine between Balfour Declaration and Divine Promise” was the theme of the conference.
On November 2, 1917, Balfour, Britain’s then foreign secretary, sent a 67-word communique to the Zionist leader Rothschild. The short note, which would be known as the Balfour Declaration, stated the UK’s support for “a national home for the Jewish people” and paved the way for the creation of the Israeli regime.
The first international conference of resistance scholars was held in Lebanon in May 2016.
