According to information obtained by the ICSRF, the prison’s guards assaulted 17-year old Sayed Ali Abbas on October 14, leaving him with a number of injuries.
Abbas’ family reported that traces of the assault are clearly visible all over the minor’s head and body.
The ICSRF, a member of the Coalition for the International Criminal Court, reminded Manama of its obligation to insure that Abbas does not endure any bodily harm while in the custody of the state and that his imprisonment is not an excuse for torture.
