The next hearing has been scheduled for October 17. This is the second such postponement in as many months.
Rights activists and critics of the regime have dismissed the charges as being politically motivated and called on Manama to allow international observers to sit-in on court proceedings.
Al-Qashami was arrested at his home on February 9 along with his son and daughter, who have also been charged. The cleric is standing trial with dozens of codefendants, including four women.
