Taking place on Monday evening, the meeting lasted for some 90 minutes, and is the first ever public conference between them after their secret summit in 2016.
Netanyahu and al-Sisi, who speak on the phone periodically, assembled at the Palace Hotel, where the latter is staying during his visit to New York to take part - like Netanyahu - in the UN General Assembly meeting.
Netanyahu's office issued a statement saying that the discussion was "comprehensive" and dealt with the "problems in the region."
Al-Sisi expressed his willingness "to assist efforts to achieve [so-called] peace between ‘Israel' and the Palestinians and the region," the statement further claimed.
Egypt has become increasingly involved in affairs with the ‘Israeli' entity.
