According to the website of the Astan (custodianship) of the shrine, the Khatam al-Anbia Hall of the shrine is hosting the event.
It began on Saturday, August 5 and will run until Friday, August 11.
According to organizers, it is aimed at supporting the hearing-impaired and helping them learn skills for better interactions with others in society.
The participants are from Iraq and a number of other Arab countries.
There will be a number of sideline programs during the weeklong gathering.
The Astan of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine organizes different cultural, social and religious programs throughout the year.
