According to Al-Hikmah website, "Hillah Seminary, Rooted Heritage and Evolution in Methods” is the motto of the forum to be held in cooperation with the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine.
Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalayi, the custodian of the Astan will supervise the international program.
Sheikh Aqeel Al-Kefli, supervisor of Allameh Hilli Center, said that the character of the scholar as one of the eminent seminary figure and the scientific works of the great jurist will be investigated in the forum.
Quranic sciences and interpretation, jurisprudence and principles of religion, Hadith sciences, theology and religious beliefs, natural sciences, ethics and mysticism, history, thought and politics, Arabic language and literature and studies of the scholar’s works are the themes of the program.
The participants in the forum will also discuss nobility and innovation in jurisprudential issues in view of Allameh Hilli.
Jamal ad-Din Hasan ibn Yusuf ibn Ali ibn Mutahhar al-Hilli, also known as al-Allameh Hilli, was born in 1250 and died in 1325. He was a Twelver Shia theologian and mujtahid (religious scholar). Known as a Marja' (source of emulation), he was one of the most well-known Shia scholars of his time.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Allameh Hilli Center in Babil Province of Iraq plans to organize an international forum to investigate the works and characteristics of 13th century Shia scholar Allameh Hilli in May 2018.
