Conference of Palestine in view of Abrahamic faiths in Senegal

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Iranian Cultural Center in Senegal plans to hold a conference on “Palestine in View of Abrahamic Faiths”.

It will be organized with the cooperation of the Iranian embassy and representative office of Al-Mustafa International University in the West African country on the occasion of the International Quds Day on Friday.

The Islamic Institute of Dakar will play host to the conference, in which a number of political and cultural figures from Iran and Senegal will deliver speeches.

A number of cultural programs have been planned on the sidelines of the conference.

Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in August 1979 declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day, calling on Muslims across the world to mark the annual occasion by holding street rallies.

Since then, millions of people around the world take to the streets on this day in a show of support for the people of Palestine, demanding an end to the Zionist regime’s occupation of Palestinian lands.

This year, the International Quds Day falls on June 23.
