At the ceremony that was held late on Wednesday, Dr Rouhani added: “Imam Ali’s (AS) ruling was based on people’s opinions and votes”.
The followers of Imam Ali (AS) are prosperous, said Rouhani adding: “Imam Ali’s ruling was short but replete with lessons”.
He also went on to say: “Ali (AS) was martyred by the person who he had supported a lot. Imam Ali’s ruling was established with people’s insistence”.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also said: “Our national greatness was proved to the whole world in the election”.
Stating that everyday must be the day of honour for the Iranian nation, he continued: “Iranian universities and professors’ success in the global stage makes us proud”.
We must both learn science from the world and transfer science, Dr Rouhani stressed, adding: “The 11th administration concentrated on providing better healthcare conditions for the people”.
He continued saying: “Universities should be self-reliant with science, technology and interaction with the production and service sector”.
“Some used to say when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) came, nuclear technology went away but in the first year after the JCPOA, we finished 43 new technologies and our greatest progress yielded results,” continued Dr Rouhani.
He also said: “Before the Healthcare Reform Plan, hospitals used to take the bodies of Muslim people hostage for money”.
