The sessions, titled "Learning about The Holy Quran” have been planned in line with the center’s programs for the holy month of Ramadan.
Sheikh Ziauddin Al Majdi Zubaidi, the director of the center, said that the Quranic programs are held two days a week during the holy month.
The revelation of Quran, Quran writing, ten different styles of Quran recitation, Quranic scripts, meanings of Quranic terms and verses and Quran contemplation are some of the themes discussed in the sessions.
The center also holds specialized Quranic courses as well as Quranic conferences and meetings on various other occasions.
Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast as an effective way of practicing self-discipline. They are also expected to strengthen their character through self-restraint, charitable-giving and introspection.
Reading, reciting and contemplating the Holy Quran is also a major activity for Muslims during the holy month.
