(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi met with Ammar Al-Hakim, the leader of Iraq’s Shia National Alliance bloc in the Iraqi parliament, in Cairo on Tuesday for talks about Iraq and other issues.

According to a statement issued by the Egyptian presidency on Tuesday afternoon, the Egyptian president and the Shia cleric discussed the latest developments in Iraq, especially the latest victories of the Iraqi army, against the ISIS terrorist group as well Egyptian-Iraqi bilateral relations.

El-Sisi and Al-Hakim also discussed the efforts to reach a political settlement among the different sects of Iraq.
