Hojat-ol-Islam Fakhreddin Saberi, director of the museum, made the announcement, noting that a number of scholars who cooperated with Ayatollah Rafsanjani in compiling the Rahnama Quran Exegesis will discuss the topic at the seminar.
He said Ayatollah Rafsanjani and a group of scholars compiled the exegesis in 20 volumes and another Quran exegesis entitled "Thematic Interpretation of the Holy Quran” in 33 volumes.
The seminar will be the first such event in which the scholarly aspect of Ayatollah Rafsanjani’s character is discussed, he added.
Ayatollah Rafsanjani died in Tehran in January at the age of 82 due to a heart condition.
He was among the main aides to the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini.
He played an influential role both during the anti-Shah struggles before the victory of the Islamic Revolution and afterwards through various stages of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Rafsanjani was also a key figure during the eight years of Iraq’s imposed war on Iran (1980-88), serving as substitute to commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
