Today, the groundwork is set for more development in the province, said Rouhani adding: “Ethnic diversity is not a security threat, but rather security building”.
“The people and the land of Kordestan deserve the highest and the best services,” continued the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Dr Rouhani also went on to state that railroad is one of the province’s essential needs and continued: “Linking Hamedan railroad to Kordestan is certain”.
“Kordestan can connect Iran’s railroad to the Mediterranean coast,” said Rouhani adding that Kordestan’s railroad must be connected to western borders and continue along Iraq and Syria to reach the Mediterranean coast.
Emphasising the significance of local ethnicities and languages, he said: “Teaching Kurdish language in Kordestan province means exact implementation of the constitution”.
Stating that “citizens’ rights are the same for all Iranian ethnicities and religions”, he said: “We must remove wrong borders of the society and stand together”.
The President also said: “I had promised that the government will use all its might to designate highly-qualified people of the province in high-ranking management posts and today, 87 of Kordestan authorities are native and this trend will continue”.
“Oil and condensates exports has doubled compared to the era before the JCPOA,” said Rouhani.
He also continued: “To turn year 1396 into the year of employment-making production, all branches, institutions, and the private sector must work together”.
We will work on ratifying the bill of Baneh and Marivan free zones in the parliament, said Rouhani adding: “Abundant human talent is the most important asset of Kordestan province”.
