Despite various calls by different voices for the Nigerian authorities without any preconditions, to release Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, including the recent court order, the Nigerian government refuses and continues to keep Sheikh Zakzaky in detention, a refusal that shows its culpability in the killings of hundreds members of Islamic Movement in Nigeria in cold blood.

The continued detention of Zakzaky without charges in spite of various calls to release him; the government's sheer reluctance to allow the Sheikh to have access to ophthalmologists to treat his badly-injured eye, Zakzaky is in dire need of medical attention, he already lost an eye to the Nigerian army who shot him several times.
