38th anniv. of Iran's Revolution marked in Pakistan

The 38th anniversary of the victory of Islamic Revolution and the National Day of Iran was celebrated in Pakistan’s Quetta and Peshawar cities on Friday.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The 38th anniversary of the victory of Islamic Revolution and the National Day of Iran was celebrated in Pakistan’s Quetta and Peshawar cities on Friday.

Iranian consulates in both major cities of Pakistan hosted the ceremony which was largely attended by the local officials, parliamentarians, Sunni and Shia clerics, businessman and traders.

Governor of Balochistan province, Muhammad Khan Achakzai, as the chief guest of the ceremony in Quetta, congratulated Iranian consulate and the people of Iran on the occasion.

He praised Iran-Pakistan friendship and said that Chabahar and Gwadar ports are not rivals but complementary to each other.

He appreciated Iran for joining China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Meanwhile, Iran's Consulate General in Quetta Mohammad Rafiee highlighted achievements of the Islamic Revolution and reiterated the need for strengthening of more cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in all fields.

In another development, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Iqbal Zafar Jhagra who was present in a ceremony hosted by Iranian consulate in Peshawar said that Iran and Pakistan are tied in the eternal bond of friendship.

He congratulated people and the government of Iran on the 38th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
Jhagra expressed confidence in the bright future of the bilateral friendship.

Iranian consulate general in Peshawar Mohammad Bagher Beigi underlined achievements of the Islamic Revolution during the ceremony and reiterated the need for further strengthening of Iran-Pakistan all-out ties.

Iran embassy in Pakistan will also host a big celebration in Islamabad on the occasion on Friday evening.
