The possibilities of cooperation betw. ABNA and Cultural Activist from Sindh, Pakistan were discussed

A group of activists from Al-Mujtaba organization and Asqarieh institution of science and practice met with Ahlul Bayt News Agency's managers.

According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA - A group of activists from Al-Mijtaba organization and Asqarieh institution of science and practice met with Ahlul Bayt News Agency's managers in Qom.

Al-Mujtaba institution has many activities including launching of the Al-Mujtaba website, publication of Al-Mujtaba magazine, translation and writing of 40 books, and holding prayer ceremonies, said one of the guests, explaining about Al-Mujjtaba organization's activities.

"Asqarieh institute has built many mosques and hussainiats in different areas. We hold many mourning ceremonies on different occasions. We have translated over 70 books. Also a lot of people are studying at seminary schools of Iran and Iraq from this institute. The institute has over 100 representative in different cities and villages of Sindh and has over 5000 active members" he added.

"ABNA in an influential and important agency and we use it in Arabic, English, and urdu" he continued.

The Director of ABNA, Hujjat al-Islam Hussaini Aref, spoke about Ahlul Bayt World Assembly's activities and stated, "it is our responsibility to help the followers of Ahlul Bayt both culturally and intellectually. Over the past 27 years, we have achieved a great deal of success in this regard".

"Ahlul Bayt World Assembly has translated over 1800 books to 88 languages so far. Other activities of the Assembly including building mosques, Huusainiats, hispitals, charity organizations and support of the oppressed followers of the Ahlul Bayt" Aref added.

Speaking about the reasons behind establishment of ABNA, he added, "we observed that the issues and oppression of the followers of Ahlul Bayt are not reflected properly or at all in media; therefore we decided to deal with this by establishing ABNA and broadcast the news regarding Shiite Muslims".

"ABNA operates in 24 languages and we are going to add 3 more languages. In some languages like Myanmarese, ABNA is the only news agency focused on Shiite news. Also ABNA is a source for many media in Urdu in India and Pakistan" he added.

Speaking about the possibilities of cooperation between the two parties, Aref said, " the potentials of the Al-Mujtaba and Asqarieh institutes can be utilized to reflect the Shiite news and their words can be reflected in different languages on ABNA".

In the end, Hujjat al-Islam Aref added, " if possible, Shiite Muslims in Pakistan should participate in elections and become candidates for parliament in order to be more influential through democratic and political ways".
