Ayatollah Araki: Sheikh Nimr used every endeavour to establish rightness

“Sheikh Bqir al-Nimr made every endeavour in the way of rightness by his patience and struggle.” Ayatollah Araki said at the commemoration ceremony of “Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr” in his first martyrdom anniversary.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency)-Coinciding with the first martyrdom anniversary of “Sheikh Nimr Baqir al-Nimr” a commemoration ceremony was held at the Azam Mosque in the city of Qom, Iran.

Iranian Grand Ayatollahs, their representatives and some revolutionary figures from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Yemen, Iranian and foreigner scholars, the media and different groups of people participated in the ceremony on the night of the 2nd of January.

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki as the preacher of the ceremony referred to the conflict between truth and falsehood and its divine traditions and said: “In Islam the truth and falsehood are based on one inevitable divine canon. Historically, the side of rightness has always been in conflict with the side of falseness, and this conflict has its rules.”

“The most important of these rules is that eventually the followers of the rightness are the winners of the conflict” he added.

Pointing to the patience as a condition for victory he said: “Sheikh Bqir al-Nimr made every endeavour in the way of rightness by his patience and struggle, and finally sacrificed his live in this way.”

He also referred to the Bahraini people's revolution and said: “Our first advice to the people of Bahrain is to be patient and use every legitimate tool to enhance their morale.”

“The second condition for victory of rightness against wrongness side is to not relying on the enemies of God and tyrants. It is necessary to be under the guardianship of God,” He added.

He also considered the trust in God as a third condition for this victory and said: “People, who have confidence in God, are the owner of a steely determination that no power can break it.”

“Al-Khalifa regime is incapable of fighting with Sheikh Issa Qassim, and people of Bahrain have to maintain their spirit of resistance. Survival of a nation has its costs and the cost of this is that they must give their bests for God,” he added at the end of his speech.

In this ceremony, martyr Nimr’s book, "A Petition of Honour and Dignity", was also unveiled.
