(AhlulBayt News Agency) - A one day International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference was organized by the Shia Federation Jammu Province, in which not only the Muslims scholars of different sects of the country participated but a large number of Non-Muslims scholars and thinkers gathered to listen to the message of peace and harmony of the Holy Prophet of Islam.
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to New Delhi, India, Ghoolam Reza Ansari, was the Chief Guest in the conference. President Shia Federation Jammu Province Ashiq Hussain Khan while presenting the welcome address highlighted the aims and objective of the Federation and summarized its achievements also.
The conference was organized in two sessions. In both the sessions different Ulemas and clerics of National and International level threw light upon the sacred and pious life of the Prophet and his teachings and stressed upon the importance of peace and communal harmony as is emphasized in Islam. The speakers also stressed upon the audience to follow the foot prints of the holy Prophet and to acquire the knowledge of various religions as every religion advocates to maintain peace and harmony among the masses.
The prominent speakers who spoke on the occasion include Maulana Ghulam Rasool Hami, Asghar Ali Karbalai, Maulana Sayed Qamar Ghazi Zaidi, Maulana Zakir Hussain Jafri, Maulana Kousar Ali Jafri. Shayer-e-Ahlebait Haider KiratPuri and Zulfiqar Naqvi presented their religious Kalam.
The chief guest Ambassador, Ghoolam Reza Ansari expounded that to maintain peace and harmony in any society, education plays the pivotal role. He said that relations between Iran & India are going better day by day in different aspects- political, cultural & social.
He also praised and congratulated the Shia Federation for its struggle to eradicate illiteracy and for its helping attitude towards the poor and needy of the society irrespective of any caste, color and creed.
