Lebanese cleric warns against efforts to harm Muslims' unity

Lebanese cleric Seyed Ali Fazlollah, the son of late Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hassan Fazlollah, has said any blow to th unity of Muslims will tarnish image of Islam.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Fazlollah made the remarks in a meeting with a delegation of Iranian Sunni and Shia ulema, comprising Hojjatoleslam Mostafa Morsali, who is deputy of the Supreme Leader's International Affairs Senior Advisor, Ali Akbar Velayati, and also university instructor Dr. Mohammad Elyasi, and Mamosta Mostafa Mahmoudi, the Friday Prayers leader of Piranshahr.

The Iranian delegation met Fazlollah on the occasion of the Unity Week.

The Iranians delegation warned against the big dangers that are threatening the world of Islam and the growing bloody conflicts in Muslim countries.

They hailed the key role of the late Allameh Seyed Mohammad Hossein Fazlollah in Islamic Unity and called for completion of his course, especially in the present juncture.

Fazlollah also underline importance of solving critical religious issues, which have resulted in clashes in the region, and appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran for its role in Islamic unity, especially efforts of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST).

The Lebanese cleric called on the audience to follow the model of the first Imam of Shia Muslims, Hazrat Ali (AS) in forging Islamic unity and said the model has well specified the approach of Hazrat Ali (AS) to the extent that he abandoned the right to govern just for the sake of unity.

He emphasized that any blow to Muslim unity and suspicion over its benefit will be interpreted as helping the enemies, who are targeting division of Ummah, harming Islam and dominating Muslim states.
