Unity conf in Pakistan: Muslims need to stand united against conspiracies

Pakistani religious scholars and senior government officials speaking at a gathering stressed upon the need for unity within the Muslim world to encounter conspiracies against Islam.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The meeting of Ulema and religious scholars was organized by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Unity Week in Islamabad.

Ambassador of Iran Mehdi Honardoost expressing his views, regretted that Muslim world is passing through a difficult phase and there is bloodshed in many of the Muslim states. “Unfortunately some big members of Muslim Ummah are standing against some other Muslim nations”, he noted.

He added that all Muslims are members of the same family adding that the unity among Muslims is also the message of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

He said that Muslims must stick to their values and must not give chance to the enemies of Islamic to divide them.

Iranian envoy further said that there is a dire need of unity in Muslim world. “We should set aside our differences and engage ourselves on different issues” he viewed.

He strongly believed that responsibility of unity lies upon all Muslims and to escape from dangers and threats to Islam Muslims must not permit disunity among them.

Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousuf expressing his views said that creating unity is the responsibility of all Muslim states. He noted that every effort to bring Muslims together must be lauded because it is the message of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Secretary General of Pakistan's Jamaat-e-Islami party Liaqat Baloch said that unity among Muslim world is inevitable. He asked Muslims to leave their differences and stop following a negative approach towards each other.

Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chief of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan praised founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini for initiating the Unity Week. He noted that enemies of Islam are trying to sow seeds of discord among Muslims. He asked Muslims to remain vigilant against conspiracies of the enemies of Islam.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffri, Secretary General of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) said that Muslims must unite according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that imperialist forces are behind unrest in the Muslims world. He urged Muslims to stand united against enemies of Islam.
