(AhlulBayt News Agency) - One who does not support Palestine’s resistance should not claim to be advocating Islamic unity, he said in an address to the 30th International Islamic Unity Conference here in Tehran.
"Palestine is the central issue in Islamic unity and without support for Palestine, unity will be meaningless,” he said.
Sheikh Qassem further referred to the threat of Takfiri groups, saying they have been created by the enemies of the Muslim world to prevent the spread of Islam.
He underlined that the Axis of Resistance, Iran, Hezbollah, Syria and Iraq, are truly fighting against Takfiris, adding that the defeat of Takfiris is imminent.
The 30th International Islamic Unity Conference kicked off in Tehran on Thursday morning.
Muslim scholars, thinkers and political figures from some 50 countries have taken part in the conference.
It is an annual event organized on the occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Islamic Unity Week as a sign of solidarity among different Islamic schools of thought.
