According to Ahlul Bayt News Agency – ABNA – the third seasonal meeting of the senior managers of the Ahlul Bayt World Assembly was held in Tehran.
In the beginning, Ayatollah Akhtari congratulated the beginning of Imam Mahdi's imamah, and stressing on the position of imamah in Islamic thought, he said, "understanding imamah is not just praying for Imam Mahdi or going on pilgrimage, but we have to pay attention to other things as well. One of these is following the Faqih's.
"In Imam Asgari and Mahdi's time, there were some people who represented the Imams. If it were today, we might not have accepted them. As an example, a prominent scholar would give his letter to a simple vendor, who was Imam's representative, to deliver the letter and receive the answer". He continued.
He then added, "If we say that we believe in Imam Mahdi, we must follow his words as well. We have to follow Faqihs as his representatives and support them. This has been clearly stated in history of Shiite Islam."
"Unfortunately sometimes we see that some people are deceived and dare to oppose Vilayat-e Faqih" he continued.
'Some people see the glory of Islamic Republic but oppose Vilayat-e Faqih. This is contrary to their claim of following Imam Mahdi" he added.
Akhtari stressed that we should not fall into doubt. He said that all enemies of Islam are planning conspiracies.
"We have to be united, not deceived. As servants of Ahlul Bayt we must be aware that weakening this government and Vilayat-e Faqih is a sin and is weakening of Islam and Ahlul Bayt's school". He said.
He also noted that today the flag of Islam has been raised against division and disbelief in Iran and we must be steadfast on this way.
