Mourning ceremony in Manila marks end of Safar sad occasions

A mourning ritual was held in Manila, the Philippines, marking the sad occasions of the end of Safar (the second month in the lunar Hijri calendar).

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - It was organized by the Iranian Cultural Center in the Southeast Asian country and the participants mourned the passing away anniversary of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and martyrdom anniversaries of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) and Imam Reza (AS).

The ceremony began with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by recitation of Tawassul supplication.

Next, Hojat-ol-Islam Akbari delivered a speech on the occasions and a eulogist recited eulogies.

Memorial services were held by Shia Muslims around the world on Monday (the 28th of Safar) and Wednesday (30th of Safar) to mark the two sad occasions.
