(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Several groups of Shia Muslims who had been marching to Karbala for Arbaeen pilgrimage met with the Iraqi senior cleric, Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, on Thursday November 24, in his house in the city of Najaf.
During the meeting the Iraqi source of emulation highlighted the importance of reviving Arbaeen pilgrimage and its rituals saying, “Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s) strongly recommended Muslims to perform this great ritual,”
Grand Ayatollah further added, “If one searches about the life and biography of Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s), it’s like he or she is trying to figure out the genuine Islamic teachings; Since Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s) are representatives of Islam and messengers of friendship , kindness, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence,”
Elsewhere in his remarks, the senior cleric added, “All mankind must adhere to Ahl ul-Bayt’s teachings in order to reach salvation and prosperity; Since Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s) are the only true salvage ship for humanity and they serve as the guides towards Allah almighty, we pray to Allah to bless all the lovers of Ahl ul-Bayt (a.s) with his divine bounties,”
