(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The preliminary stage of the tenth edition of a Quran competition for Shia Muslims in Bahrain was held on Monday.
The contest is annually held by Iqra Quranic Sciences Association for different age groups.
According to the website of the association, teenagers and youth had an active participation in the first round.
It said winners of this round, who will qualify for the final stage, will be announced in the coming days.
Bahrain is a tiny Arab country comprising more than 30 islands in the Persian Gulf.
Shia Muslims make up the majority of the country’s population.
