(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Senior Pakistani Shiite cleric, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, has urged all Pakistanis to act upon the ideology of national poet and ideologue Dr Muhammad Iqbal to make Pakistan a true welfare Islamic state.
In his message on the birth anniversary of Dr M Iqbal also known as Allama Iqbal, MWM’s top official made it clear that Pakistan of today is not the Pakistan that Allama Iqbal dreamt of.
Allama Jafari said that message of Allama Iqbal was not Pakistan-specific but he was a global philosopher and thinker who focused on Muslim Ummah hence entire Islamic world could emulate his teachings that laid emphasis on modernization within the ambit of Islam.
“In Iran and other parts of the world, people do Ph.Ds on Allama Iqbal because of his message but Pakistanis ignore their valuable asset. Even national holiday was revoked that was observed in past to pay homage to Allama Iqbal,” he said expressing concern.
He urged that Muslims should be united against the common challenges as dreamt by Allama Iqbal because united Ummah could defeat the enemies of humanity.
