(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Central Secretary General Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jaffri expressed strong reaction over the arrest of renowned politician, former Senator and chairman Voice of Shohda Faisal Raza Abdii.
The senior Shia cleric said that Federal and Provincial governments have become a formal party against Shiite Nation. Punishment is given to Faisal Raza Abidi for his defense of Shia Muslims and love to the homeland.
On one side, we are being made victim of terrorism, while on the other side we are facing unjust steps of government institutions like restrictions over our Azadari programs (mourning ceremony), arrest of Ulema and elders and suspension of citizenship of renowned personalities in the field of welfare. Government should make it clear that for whose pleasure, it is victimizing and taking revenge from millions of Pakistanis Shia Muslims whose patriotism and sacrifices are clear like daylight.
He said that silence of empowered institutions on this issue is disappointing. Respect of rights of all segments of life is conditional to the survival and stability of Pakistan. Existence of Pakistan is eyesore for those forces which are busy in paving the way of creating a battle among different classes. The links of these forces are connected to banned religious outfits. Open freedom to banned outfits for holding their miscreants gatherings and putting patriotic people behind bar is a deliberate conspiracy of pushing the country towards destruction.
In this situation, silence of empowered institutions over this partisan and suspicious role is harmful for the beloved homeland. He said that background political reasons are possible behind the arrest of Faisal Raza Abidi, however, without any evidence depicting this arrest as involvement in the act of sectarianism by police is giving an opportunity to reactivate Takfiri groups. This group is a major hurdle in the way of stability of the beloved homeland.
He made demand to Prime-minister Nawaz Sharif, Army chief General Raheel Sharif, Chief Justice of Pakistan and Chief minister Sindh that they must take notice of these illegal acts against Millat Tashayyu (Shiite community) and Faisal Raza Abidi should be immediately released.
