Photos: Ashura procession in Kano, Nigeria

Ashura Procession took place in Kano like in other cities of the world on Wednesday 10th of Muharram, 1438 (12/10/2016). The peaceful procession was organized annually in more than 20 cities across Nigeria by the members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under the leadership of the oppressed leader of the movement Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky. Nigerian Police have been following the procession in their attempt to shed the blood of the peaceful protesters, after the procession, men of the Nigerian Police have arrested some members of the movement (the actual figure is yet to be confirmed) including women and children.
