(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Libyan National Army (LNA) kicked off a massive offensive on Sunday, targeting the towns east of the ISIS stronghold of Sirte.
According to local activists, the Libyan National Army’s 166th Battalion managed to liberate the town of Ajdabiya, Sadra, and Ras Lanouf after a fierce battle with the Hadran forces in western Benghazi.
Before fleeing these aforementioned towns, the Hadran forces left behind a large cache of weapons, including several assault rifles and rockets.
As a result of this strategic advance on Sunday, the Libyan National Army has now strengthened their positions along the Mediterranean coastline, leaving Benghazi firmly in their grip.
