(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Afghan forces have recaptured the strategically important Khanabad district in the northern province of Kunduz from the Taliban.
The announcement was made by Kunduz Governor Asadullah Omarkhel hours after Khanabad was seized by Taliban militants.
However, there are still reports of the presence of Taliban militants near the district headquarters.
