AhlulBayt News Agency - Japan’s ambassador to Iraq cited a verse of the Holy Quran as the guideline for progress and development.
In an article published in Arabic on Tuesday, Fumio Iwai referred to Iraqis’ questions about the secret of Japan’s progress after the Second World War and urged the people of Iraq to read the Quran to find the path to development.
"Undoubtedly, despite the difficult conditions following the war and occupation, Japan’s leaders had the serious determination for the progress and flourishment of Japan,” he wrote in the article, noting that strong resolve and faith were the common capital of the Japanese people.
This is what the Quranic verse "… Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves,” also says, Iwai added, citing verse 11 of Surah al-Raad (13).
He further urged Iraqi political leaders to make efforts to build a bright future for the Arab country, saying that Japan is ready for cooperation with Iraq on that path.
