AhlulBayt News Agency - Following the order of religious authority and Secretary General of AhlulBayt World Assembly’s request, Pakistani cleric ended his hunger strike at the 87th day.
“Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri” through the ceremony of 28th anniversary of Seyyed Aref Hussain al Husseini’s martyrdom, said in his speech: “despite critical condition, at a meeting of the Central Council of Muslim unity’s Assembly we had decided to continue hunger strike but due to order of religious authority and respect to Ulamaa, declare the end of it.”
“ But we will continue sit-ins until achieve all our legitimate demands,” he stressed.
It is worth noting after critical condition of Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri “Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi” and “Hujjat al Islam Akhtari” Secretary General of AhlulBayt World Assembly through letters, asked him to bring strike to end.
Allama Jafri went on Hunger strike and sit-ins since 13 may 2016 in a camp located in the media club of capital Islamabad.
He did it in protest against the continued oppression and violence against followers of AhlulBayt (AS) and despite losing 34 kg of weight and fatal condition, didn’t stop resistance.
He and other strikers have these demands from their national and regional governments:
1. Appropriate action to prevent killings of Shiites in Pakistan in different parts of the country.
2. To refer files of all Shiites massacres such as incidents of Shikarpur, Jacob Abad and ... to the military courts.
3. To lift restrictions on Shiites mourning ceremonies in Punjab.
4. To ban activities of Takfiri groups and sect worshipers.
5. Effective proceeding of state of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government against Shiites killings.
6. To form Investigative Committee for the recent killing of Parachinar Shiites by Police.
7. To stop owning Shiites lands in Gilgit and Baltistan by government and to release all owned properties.
