AhlulBayt News Agency - Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Senegal hosted a three-day workshop, according to the website of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO).
The event, whose motto was "Quranic diplomacy”, was attended by 23 Quran experts from 14 provinces of the West African country.
Iranian Quran master and prominent Qari Majid Zakilu was the instructor and discussed different aspects of the science of Tajweed in Quran recitation.
Sheikh Mustafa Lu, president of the Association of Senegal’s National Quranic Schools, underlined the important status of the Quran in the unity of the Muslim Ummah.
Islam is the predominant religion in Senegal, a country in West Africa with a population of around 14.5 million.
