AhlulBayt News Agency - Milli Yakjehti Council (National Alliance for Religious Harmony) leader Sahibzada Abul Khair Zuberi led a delegation to Majlis Wahdat ul Mulismeen (MWM) Pakistan supremo Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri’s Hunger strike camp at Islamabad.

The delegation comprised of MYC leader Sahibzada Abul Khair Zuberi, MYC and Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, Allama Ameen Shaheedi, Asif Luqman Qazi, Allama Saqib Akbar, Peer Nasir Jameel Hashmi, Professor Sheikh Talat Mahmood Madani, Shahid Shamsi and other dignitaries.

It is learnt that Shia Ulema Council (SUC) Allama Arif Wahidi was on the quorum but wasn’t able to make it with the delegation.

On the occasion Abul Khair Zuberi said the government stands numb to the issue whereas the MWM demands are constitutional and legitimate. There seems no hindrance to accept them.

Liaquat Baloch said that Allama Nasir’s efforts are worth praising and they pledge full support to his cause.

Allama Ameen Shaheedi announced that they will strongly protest on July 22 against the arrogance of the government, for it has been more than 2 months that MWM’s leader sits in on a hunger strike protesting. He said we stand peace loving and against any unruliness.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas greeted the dignitaries and thanked them for their support. He said that it is common for political parties to united on a secular agenda, so why is it so difficult for religious parties to stand come together in a unified front. He suggested to work together in order bring the true picture of Islam in front of the world, negating the false impression given by anti-Islam regimes.

He claimed that they anticipate no political mileage of their protest, but demand a safe haven for their ideological boundaries. FC targeted our innocent Shiites in Parachinar, an inquiry commission should come forth to investigate the matter. In Gilgit Baltistan people are usurping Shiite land on account of sectarian divide, whereas in Punjab, our people are being confined and curbed in the name of National Action Plan.

He affirmed the Hunger Strike Camp will continue till our demands are met, with Martyrs family to join him. A new strategy will be announced on Shaheed Quaid’s Death Anniversary.
