LUCKNOW, India - AhlulBayt News Agency - Revered Indian Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Sadiq condemned the terrorist attack in France and warned the community to stay away from anything which is against humanity.
Addressing at the closing ceremony of a conference organised by Eras Medical College and Hospital here on Saturday, Maulana Sadiq compared the attacker in France to a mad dog which pushed innocents into the deep sleep of death. "The attacker in France was some mad dog," he said.
Citing the old proverb 'as you sow, so shall you reap', the maulana said, "If you resort to violence, you will also be eliminated."
Maulana Sadiq stressed need to promote education within the community. "Education and education alone can change the fate of Muslims across the world," he told the students adding, "the day you achieve excellence in your subject, you will not only get a job but also a fleet of servants (jis din excellence hasil kar loge, us din naukri hi nahi, naukar bhi mil jayega)." He cited the example of former President Abdul Kalam to prove his point.
The Maulana also gave an option to Muslims who hesitate in raising 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' hails. "Those hesitating in saying Bharat Mata Ki Jai, may call 'Bharat Ammi Ki Jai," Kalbe Sadiq said.
Governor Ram Naik, who was the guest for the function, appreciated Maulana Sadiq, deterred medical students from proceeding on work boycotts and strikes while addressing the closing ceremony of the conference. Naik told students that their duty was above anything else and they should never forget their commitment to humanity. "Service is the first duty of a doctor and it is above everything else. None of you should forget this," he said.
