AhlulBayt News Agency - Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, while addressing a press conference, reminded the government of it duty to offer security to the Shiites in Pakistan especially on Imam Ali martyrdom. He said that should a mishap (God forbid) of any nature happen, the responsibility would fall upon the government itself.
Allama Jafari is on a hunger strike since May 13 (45 days) against the genocide of Shiites in Pakistan. He voiced his concerns due to the concurrent events of mass murder, target killing and state patronized carnage continued across Pakistan esp. Parachinar and D. I. Khan.
He reprimanded the government that it has failed in providing the basic sense of security to its nationals particularly to the Shiite Faction in Pakistan.
He said that it’s a well known fact that Shiites across Pakistan mourn martyrdom of Imam Ali during the month of Ramadan and various processions are taken out. The road map for the same are agreed upon and security concerns met. He demanded fool-proof security for the processions with walk through gates and security personnel well placed.
Allama Jafari condemned the target killing of Amjad Sabri, stating that it portrays the mind-set that prevails in the government as after this many days, they are yet to ponder over or apprehend the murderers. For the fact, abduction of chief justice’s son itself gives out the security concerns that the nation lives with. Law enforcement agencies are yet to track out or give head to any proceedings in these matters.
He said that we were left with no other option but to protest in this fashion as the government is giving a deaf ear to our demands. It has been 45 days that we sit here, using our democratic right to protest but the regime is yet to give heed to the matter.
The governments’ demeanor entails terrorist mind-set and its patronage, whereby our demands are not considered, he said, should this continue, we will announce a date of long march from across Pakistan after Eid. He said that par other political rivals and our allies, the government of Muslim League Nawaz's days are numbered.
