Grand Ayatollah Makarem: Worship paves the way to reach human tranquility

Expressing that acts of worship soothe humankinds, Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said, "There are times when humans face challenges in their lives and may experience the feeling of hopelessness and disappointment, then they walk towards God and worship him with the aim of reaching the state of tranquility and inner peace,"

AhlulBayt News Agency - Expressing that acts of worship soothe humankinds, Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi said, "There are times when humans face challenges in their lives and may experience the feeling of hopelessness and disappointment, then they walk towards God and worship him with the aim of reaching the state of tranquility and inner peace,"

Saying that holy month of Ramadan is considered as the month of forgiveness and blessings, Ayatollah Shirazi further said, "During this divine feast, the doors to God's mercy and forgiveness will be open to anyone,"

The revered Shia cleric then elaborated on the philosophy of worshipping and added, "Acts of worship cleanse human soul from the sins,"

Highlighting that obeying God and performing acts of worship would cleanse human soul from the sins, ayatollah said, "The second reason to worship God is to reach excellence of the soul and therefore performing acts of worship and prayers will cleanse the human spirit from scars which are caused by committing sins,"

"Furthermore, Worshipping will enhance human spirituality and embellish it with virtuous moralities,"

The source of emulation went on to illustrate the third reason to worship God and that is reaching tranquility and inner peace. He said, " There are times when humans face serious challenges in their lives and may experience the feeling of hopelessness and disappointment, then they walk towards God and worship him with the aim of reaching the state of tranquility and inner peace,"

"To Almighty God,it is no different whether to create a simple bird or the whole Universe that we live in, therefore it is no different to his divine being whether we pray to him and ask his help to solve our tiny or huge problems,"
